Linky Love Friday
Posted by Hope
After days and days of nice, pre-spring weather, Mother Nature has turned her back on us here in Louisiana. We started out around 51 at 6 AM and the temperature has steadily dropped all day long. Perfect weather for PJs, a bowl of my homemade Santa Fe soup, and a good book or movie!
It’s been a while since I shared some of my favorite links so I thought I’d take a moment to do so today. Hopefully you’ll see something new to you here that you can read and enjoy. Have a great weekend!

Linky Love Friday, January 18th
Posted by Hope
I’ve decided to make every Friday Linky Love day. I read lots of blogs and often find great tips or writing advice, but I rarely share them. So I decided to declare an official Linky Love day and start sharing some of this great stuff with you!
Here are this week’s links:
- Maria wrote a post called 20 Tips for Good Blogging. She’s got some great tips in there, so if you’re a new blogger, or want to beef up your blogging, go check out that one.
- Jennifer at Writing Forward started a challenge on January 10th, to see who can write an ebook in two weeks. Even though the challenge is nearly over, don’t let that stop you. Go check out her post, then get busy writing that ebook you’ve been talking about for so long!
- I found this next blog at the recommendation of ProBlogger on Twitter the other day. Scribbles & Words has a really good post on some of the best Word Press plugins to use on your blog. I love the title of the post: Turn Your Blog Into A Chocolaty Cake with WordPress Plugins.
- If your creativity level has been low, Mark Seall offers six great tips for more creative blogging. These are simple and fun ideas that will get your creative juices flowing again.
- Josh Spaulding is writing a series of posts on creating and marketing an ebook. You can click here for Part 1 of this series, then continue reading on his blog….GOOD STUFF!

Linky Love: Boost Your Blog
Posted by Hope

We haven’t had a Linky Love post around here in a while, so I thought it was time for one. And boy, have I got some doozies for you today! First, let me just say that you should see the list of feeds I have on my Netvibes page. Being able to organize them into different categories just makes it even better (and easier) for me. If you read a lot of blogs and haven’t checked it out, go give it a try.
Now to the good stuff….
The blogs I want to share with you today contain so much information about writing and blogging that I’m not going to single out any post on them. If you’ve been wanting to take your blog to the next level, here’s your starting point. You don’t really need to buy books or pay for classes to teach you how to do it. Just take your time and work through these blogs and you’ll learn a ton of information.
NOTE: I want you to save (or bookmark) this list so you can work your way through it one blog at a time. I’m serious people, there’s great stuff inside these blogs (listed in no particular order; each link opens in a new window):
- ProBloggers Matrix
- I’d Rather Be Writing
- Dosh Dosh (A must-read if you don’t look at any of the others on this list)
- ProBlogger
- Caroline Middlebrook
- Skelliewag
- Blog News Watch (I just discovered this one, but looks great already!)

Linky Love: The Power of Stumble Upon
Posted by Hope
It’s time for more linky love. This time, I chose a single site to share lots of in-depth linky love with you. You’re gonna love it!
I use Stumble Upon in a few different ways. One of which is to search for other websites/blogs that offer good info. While Stumbling sites a few days ago, I ran across one that has such a wealth of awesome self-improvement information that I couldn’t help but share with you here.
These are just a few of the best posts I’ve found. Check them out, but when you have time, I definitely recommend further perusal of Think Simple. Be Decisive.
